It looks like Fionnhuala Tedak Kayaan has encountered more than she bargained for while gathering wild grapes.
The blackmouth (named for the ebony-coloured inside of its maw) is the deadliest snake in the Dayah Forest. This one was waiting to ambush fruit bats as they came in to feed. Its presence let the grapes grow plump and juicy, and attracted a certain Dayah shamaness instead.
Let's hope she's as quick as she is flexible...
By the bye: people have asked me why she is in this position. Dayah are able to use their toes to grasp - not with the dexterity of a hand, but certainly well enough to pick grapes, Holding on with her arm and picking with her foot means she can watch what she's doing. Good thing, too...
